Visconti Medici FP Collection

The Medici was an Italian banking family, political dynasty, and royal house during the first half of the 15th century in Florence, Italy. Along with other powerful Italian families, the Medici’s inspired the birth of the Italian Renaissance through their patronage of the arts and humanism efforts. A significant amount of the art and architecture produced in Florence during the Renaissance was due to the Medici family.  The Medici collection is faceted with eight sides like the baptistery of Florence. The shape is made following the rules of Divine Proportion, established by Leonardo da Vinci under the patronship of the Medici family.  The Medici collection is crafted from a Visconti exclusive material called Acrosilk. The material is a compound of acrylic resin and silk fibers; the result is a fantastic luminescent wooden color, created as a tribute to the ancient luxury materials used in the historic Medici mansions!  My personal favorite among the Visconti line (Rose)!-Frank
