(New!) Field Notes "Heartland" Ed Pocket Notebooks
Starting at the same time as the 20th century, American companies selling seeds, fencing, and other agricultural products created pocket-sized notebooks as promotional items to be gifted to farmers. Frequently illustrated with scenes of farm life, these books went out to farmers across the country. The “Heartland” Edition pays tribute to these books and the folks who made and used them.
The covers of the three books, when opened, align cover-to-cover to create a panorama of an Amercian farm landscape, over the course of a day. The illustrations are by artist and screenprinter Dan McCarthy. Inside you’ll find graph paper pages, a common pattern in vintage farm notebooks. (Graph)
